The Zappu PD Chopper is a legendary Japanese jig that has been one of Lake Biwa’s top producers since its debut in 2008. Developed by professional angler Hata, this jig was engineered with versatility and realism as the top priorities.
Constructed from high-density tungsten, the PD Chopper can be fished in multiple ways—either as a bottom-dragging jig that stands firmly on its flat face or as a swimming jig that tracks clean and controlled through the water.
Designed to stand upright on the bottom, the PD Chopper moves naturally with water current even without rod manipulation. This subtle, automatic undulation creates a lifelike presence that draws bass in and encourages confident strikes.
Because the jig performs without constant line tension, it eliminates unnatural movement, making it especially effective on pressured fish that shy away from traditional presentations.
